Immunization

(6 PHOTOS INSIDE) – Immunization is one of the most effective ways to protect children and the country’s population ( Malaysian ) from diseases which can be prevented by immunization. Immunization is given free in all health clinics, Maternal and Child Health Clinics ( KKIA ), 1Malaysia and rural clinics under the Ministry of Health Malaysia. Immunizations are given to prevent diseases such as BCG -TB ( TB ), Hepatitis B, Diphtheria ( typhoid ), Pertussis, Tetanus, HiB ( lung infection / infection of the membranes brain ), Polio, MMR ( Measles / Mumps / Rubella ). Infants and children should be vaccinated according to a predetermined schedule of age that infants and children receive optimal protection. Vaccines and injections given date will be recorded by the nurse into the Record Books Health Children ( 0-6 years ). Parents and guardians of children are asked to check whether immunization is given or not and make sure it is recorded. At the age of 7, children will receive a DT ( Diphtheria and Tetanus ) and MR (measles and rubella) vaccinations , and oral Polio.
